Line S1 returns to Wawer – Otwock route on 1 May
From Friday, 1 May, SKM trains will run to Otwock again. On the section between Warszawa Międzylesie and Otwock, trains will use only one track for both directions. Because of this, trains will run less often.
Traffic organization from 1 May
Between Warszawa Wawer and Otwock, in both directions and during peak hours, there will be three trains per hour: one SKM line S1 service and two Koleje Mazowieckie trains. The remaining S1 trains will continue to operate on a shortened route, as they do now, running from Pruszków only to Warszawa Wawer station.
SKM trains will stop at all stations along the route. Selected Koleje Mazowieckie trains, however, will skip the Michalin and Otwock Świder stops.
The replacement bus line ZS1 will be suspended. The increased frequency of bus line 521 will remain in place. Additionally, Z7 bus services operated by Koleje Mazowieckie will continue to be available.
Information about temporary platforms
Due to ongoing line modernization, trains on the section from Warszawa Radość to Otwock Świder will stop at temporary platforms. Detailed locations of these platforms and access routes are available on the Warszawski Transport Publiczny website.
Ticket validity (ZTM and KM)
All ZTM tickets are valid on Koleje Mazowieckie trains on the section Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Wschodnia – Warszawa Wawer – Otwock.
All Koleje Mazowieckie tickets (single-use, period, zone, and network tickets) are valid on SKM trains on the route Warszawa Zachodnia – Warszawa Wawer – Otwock, as well as on WTP buses running along railway line no. 7.
Details regarding ticket validity and validation rules for ZTM tickets on KM trains can be found on the WTP website.
