Line S1 – service disruption from 12 April 2026
From 8 March to 11 April 2026, SKM line S1 trains will operate without changes.
From 12 April 2026, disruptions will begin due to the modernization of railway line no. 7.
Stage 1: 12–26 April 2026
Train traffic will be completely suspended on the section Warszawa Wawer – Otwock.
Trains from the direction of Pruszków will terminate at Warszawa Wawer station.
Basic service frequency will be maintained – every 30 minutes.
From 27 April 2026
On the section Warszawa Wawer – Otwock, trains will operate on a single track only.
As a result:
- Trains to and from Otwock will run less frequently – approximately every 60 minutes.
- On the section Pruszków – Warszawa Wawer, trains will continue to run regularly every 30 minutes.
Replacement bus service
During the suspension of train traffic, Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego w Warszawie (ZTM) plans to introduce a replacement bus service providing access to Otwock.
Buses on line ZS1 will operate from the stop on Widoczna Street, located directly next to Warszawa Wawer station, to a temporary terminus on the eastern side of Otwock station.
The buses will run along the railway line and stop at all intermediate stops.
Additionally, ZTM plans to increase the frequency of line 521. From the Warszawa Falenica stop, passengers will be able to travel to Rondo Wiatraczna.
Temporary mutual ticket acceptance between ZTM and Koleje Mazowieckie is also planned. Detailed information will be provided soon.
