More SKM services to Zegrze from 6 June

From 6 June, there will be more weekend SKM connections to towns located along the Zegrze Reservoir. The frequency of S4 line services to Zegrze will increase, and the S40 line will operate on the Warszawa Zachodnia Platform 9 – Radzymin route on both Saturdays as well as Sundays and public holidays.

S4 and S40 Lines

The Zegrze Reservoir is one of the most attractive leisure destinations near Warsaw. With the start of the summer season, we are therefore increasing the number of rail connections to waterside locations. These are served by S4 and S40 trains—in Warsaw, passengers can conveniently transfer to them from buses, trams or the metro at, among others, Warszawa Zachodnia, Młynów metro station (Warszawa Młynów railway stop), Warszawa Gdańska station, Rondo S. Starzyńskiego (Warszawa ZOO railway stop) and near Trasa Toruńska (Warszawa Toruńska railway stop).

From 6 June, the frequency of S4 services will increase on the Wieliszew – Zegrze section. On non-working days, trains will run to Zegrze approximately every two hours throughout the day—twice as often as currently. On the Piaseczno – Wieliszew section, the timetable will remain unchanged, with trains operating every hour (all marked as S4).

The weekend offer on the S40 line will also change. Trains will run on the Warszawa Zachodnia Platform 9 – Radzymin route, providing convenient access to destinations such as Nieporęt and recreational areas around the Zegrze Reservoir.

On Saturdays, nine pairs of trains will operate, and on Sundays and public holidays—six pairs. Services will run throughout the day at regular two-hour intervals. This represents a significant increase compared to the current timetable, where S40 trains operate only on Saturdays. On the shared section between Warszawa Zachodnia and Wieliszew, S40 trains will depart 30 minutes before or after S4 services, further improving the overall SKM offer.

We also remind cyclists planning trips to the reservoir by SKM trains to follow the rules for transporting bicycles. Let’s take care of travel comfort together. No major changes are planned on other SKM lines. Detailed timetables are available on the SKM website, in the WTP journey planner and in mobile applications.
