Disruptions on the S40 Line in the New Timetable
On Sunday, 30 August 2026, the autumn adjustment to the annual timetable will come into effect. Passengers travelling on the S40 line should expect service disruptions.
S40 and S4 Lines
Due to track works carried out by the infrastructure manager, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe (PKP PLK), train services on the Wieliszew – Radzymin section will be completely suspended from Monday, 31 August.
On weekdays, S40 trains will operate on the shortened route Piaseczno – Wieliszew.
On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, the S40 line will not operate, while the frequency of S4 services will be increased.
During the closure of the railway section, the Public Transport Authority (Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego) will introduce a rail replacement bus service, Z40, operating on weekdays and Saturdays.
The Z40 route will serve the following railway stations and stops:
- PKP Legionowo
- PKP Michałów-Reginów
- PKP Wieliszew Centrum
- PKP Nieporęt
- PKP Dąbkowizna
- PKP Radzymin
Please note: Due to the reconstruction of National Road No. 61, Z40 buses will not serve Wieliszew railway station. Instead, they will stop at Wieliszew Centrum and at bus stops on Kościelna Street in Wieliszew and Łajski.
In addition, on 31 August, Z40 buses will not stop at Michałów-Reginów railway stop.
S1 Line
Modernisation works on Railway Line No. 7 are continuing.
As a result, S1 trains will operate on the full Pruszków – Otwock route only once per hour. The remaining services will run on a shortened route terminating at Warszawa Wawer.
S2 and S3 Lines
No major changes are planned on the S2 and S3 lines compared with the current timetable.
