SKM at TRAKO 2025: Achievements, Cooperation and Recognition

Szybka Kolej Miejska (SKM) took part in the 16th International Railway Fair TRAKO, held in Gdańsk from 24–27 September 2025. This major European railway industry event was a great opportunity for meetings, debates, presentations of modern technologies, and the exchange of experience.

Working Together for Railway Development

As an active member of the Polish Association of Local Government Carriers (ZSPK), SKM co-hosted the association’s exhibition stand. During the fair, ZSPK signed a cooperation agreement with the Polish Chamber of Railway Industry. SKM was represented by Joanna Tucholska, Director of the SKM Development Division and Member of the Management Board of ZSPK.

Second Place in the Polish Ecodriving Championships for SKM!

In the final of the Polish Train Drivers’ Ecodriving Championships, organised by PGE Energetyka Kolejowa, our representatives achieved excellent results:

• Daniel Rutecki – 2nd place, Vice Champion of Poland
• Paweł Marciniuk – 6th place

The competition was held using Impuls 2 train simulators and assessed energy efficiency, punctuality, and safety. Congratulations to our team!

SKM Recognised by the Railway Transport Office (UTK)

During TRAKO, SKM received official thanks from the Office of Rail Transport (UTK) and its President, Ignacy Góra, PhD, for active participation in the Railway ABC educational campaign. The acknowledgement was received on behalf of the company by Marek Chmurski, Member of the SKM Management Board, and Joanna Tucholska, Director of the Development Division. They signed a commemorative board together with the campaign’s mascot – the rhino Rogatek.

Fashion Show “In Uniform, at Work with Pride”

The fair concluded with a railway-themed fashion show featuring representatives from 11 railway operators. SKM was proudly represented by:

• Przemysław Kasiński – Train Manager

Award for Social Responsibility

During the “Small Gala” event, SKM received a special distinction in the competition “Socially Responsible Railway Company”. The company was awarded a symbolic trophy and diploma for its activities supporting passengers, the environment, and local communities.

We sincerely thank all employees and partners who contributed to SKM’s presence at TRAKO 2025. It was a time of inspiring meetings, important discussions, and another series of successes for SKM.
