SKM at the 6th Tłuszcz Railway Technology Day
Tłuszcz once again became the railway heart of Mazovia. Szybka Kolej Miejska (SKM) was also present at the 6th Tłuszcz Railway Technology Day, inviting participants on board the Elf (27WE) unit following its comprehensive P5-level overhaul, as well as offering numerous attractions and competitions for visitors.
Tłuszcz has held an important place on Mazovia’s transport map for many years. The intersecting railway lines leading, among others, to Warsaw, Białystok and Ostrołęka make the town a key transport hub in the region, strongly connected with the history of railways.
This year’s celebrations began on May 22 and included events dedicated to rail transport. The main part of the event took place the following day, attracting residents, railway enthusiasts and families interested in the history and technology of railways. On that day, our team was also present with a dedicated promotional zone. Visitors showed great interest in the opportunity to step on board the Elf (27WE) and take a closer look at one of our vehicles. They could also speak with SKM employees and learn more about the daily work of railway staff and the functioning of SKM within the Warsaw agglomeration.
The SKM stand attracted visitors with competitions and railway-related curiosities. Guests could see historic destination boards, archival timetables, as well as promotional materials and gadgets.
Other carriers, industry partners and institutions related to rail transport were also present at the event, showcasing modern and historic rolling stock, technical facilities and educational attractions. The programme included, among others, driving simulators, special train rides, technical demonstrations and family-friendly educational zones prepared by the organisers.
SKM’s presence at the 6th Tłuszcz Railway Technology Day was yet another opportunity to promote rail transport as a modern, environmentally friendly and convenient means of travel, as well as to meet passengers and railway enthusiasts.
Thank you to everyone who visited our stand.
See you at upcoming railway events!
