Szybka Kolej Miejska (SKM) is the only urban railway operator in Poland.
Together with trams, buses, and the metro, it forms part of the Warsaw Public Transport system. SKM train services operate under the Warsaw Public Transport Authority (ZTM) ticketing system.
Szybka Kolej Miejska is a local railway carrier and one of the elements of Warsaw Public Transport. We provide passenger transport services within the Warsaw agglomeration, on existing lines managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe.
Szybka Kolej Miejska was established with a notarial deed on 5th of February 2004 (Rep. A No. 268/2004).
The first railway connection – the S1 line – was launched on 3rd of October 2005, between Warsaw West Station and Warsaw Falenica. Each year, we transport over 23 million passengers on four routes, with a total length of more than 160 km, connecting Warsaw with towns located within the suburban area.
